Christmas On The Lake's West Side: Parade Pics, Holiday Light Displays Open [PHOTOS]
The city of Laurie was the place to be on Saturday night for all things Christmas. The Lake West Chamber of Commerce Lighted Christmas Parade ended at the Laurie Mall where delighted children were treated to cookies and punch and a visit by Santa, Mrs. Claus and a snowman that looked a lot like Olaf from the animated film produced by Walt Disney.
The Shrine of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Festival of Lights and the Enchanted Village of Lights in the Laurie Park were also lit and open for free tours. The Enchanted Village of Lights is once again offering horse drawn carriage rides (for a fee). They expect more than 20,000 people to visit the 27-acre Christmas light display.
The Enchanted Village of Lights is open every night after dark through Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. The Festival of Lights is open from 5 to 8 p.m. every Thursday through Sunday, through Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
St. Patrick's Church Christmas Lights
Holiday light displays are a tradition on the west side of Lake of the Ozarks. The Shrine of St. Patrick illuminates the Mother’s Shrine and surrounding area in an impressive array of color in the true spirit of Christmas.
