As of Thursday at 12:15 p.m., Ameren reported the Lake had crested; by 12:30, Bagnell Dam was running 85,000 cubic feet per second (cfs), with the Osage River expected to rise by an additional foot. Property owners downriver were encouraged to take measures to protect their personal property, but Ameren did not expect to open the floodgates any further. Without floodgates open, the dam is capable of running about 40,000 cfs through the turbines.
Ameren records show the Lake crested at 11 a.m., at 662.55 feet. By noon, the Lake level was at 662.54. At 1 p.m., the level was 662.47.
At 1 p.m., the Osage River, at Bagnell Dam's tailwater, was at 577.99 feet.
