LINN CREEK, Mo. — Drivers are reporting a multi-vehicle wreck has brought traffic to a crawl on westbound Highway 54 in the area of Linn Creek.
Reports began coming in between 4 and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Westbound Highway 54 is reportedly shut down to one lane, and traffic is moving very slowly in that direction (toward Camdenton); the incident has also had a lesser impact on eastbound traffic.
According to one report, the crash was a head-on collision after one vehicle came across from the eastbound lanes into the westbound.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was reportedly unconscious when emergency responders arrived and suffered multiple broken bones.
Drivers approaching Linn Creek on westbound Highway 54 are urged to seek an alternate route if possible, as it is not known how long traffic will be slowed in the area. One option could include taking the Y Road exit and continuing on Highway A.
