WARSAW, Mo. — The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for southwest Benton County and northern Hickory County, after a radar indicated rotation in a thunderstorm moving through the area.

The storm capable of producing the tornado was observed at 9:48 p.m. and was moving south at 20 mph.

The Tornado Warning applies to all of Warsaw, and also includes all of Truman Lake and Truman State Park. Hail one inch in diameter was observed in the area. The Tornado Warning is in effect until 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1.
