The Community Bridge toll plaza is coming down, and drivers can breathe a sigh of relief—Route MM will remain open during the process.

However, temporary traffic signals will be used to narrow MM to one lane during the project. MoDOT says the removal process is set to begin Monday, Feb. 10, with completion expected by May 1, 2025 (weather permitting). 

The Sunrise Beach Police chief encouraged drivers to plan ahead, exercise patience, and maybe even brush up on their in-car karaoke skills during the wait.

There has been no confirmation about the side building's new use, if any.
