SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. — A recent Standard & Poor’s review brought good news for the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District.
The district received a AA bond rating, described as “stable” by Standard and Poor’s. According to Standard and Poor’s website, this rating indicates a “very strong capacity to meet financial commitments”
“I have been committed to transparency and accountability, and as such I am very happy to share this information with the community,” Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District Fire Chief Dennis Reilly said.
The rating report did indicate some areas that needed to be addressed, and on that subject Reilly responded by saying, “It is a very good thing to have an objective outside source review where the district stands in terms of financial management and tell us what we can do better. I look forward to sharing this information with the board of trustees and working together with them to develop a plan that will hopefully allow us to obtain an even better rating in the future.”
