SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. — A stronger organization and a history of dedicated service is what the Lake of the Ozarks West Chamber of Commerce will retain when Executive Director Mike Kenagy leaves the organization next year.
As of March 2014, Kenagy will take the role of Director of the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association. He will remain in his role at the chamber until that time.
Kenagy leaves the chamber, after serving as director for 10 years, with a record number of members: 444, by the most recent count.
The Lake West Chamber has other staffing changes coming, too; the board of directors recently decided to hire a full-time office manager to assist in daily operations of the chamber.
In a letter to chamber members, the board wrote, “We wish Mike the best of luck in his career and send our sincerest thanks for all he has done for the west side. Mike has been a huge asset to the chamber and lake area community and will truly be missed!”
