LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — In just four days, speed, power and excitement return to the Lake of the Ozarks.
On Saturday – Sunday, June 8–9, the Offshore Super Series comes to the Lake of the Ozarks with Lake Race 2013. The event is being presented by Formula Boats and Mountain Dew.
Title sponsors have been voicing their enthusiasm about being involved with Lake Race 2013.
Scott Porter – Formula Boats:
We are excited to have the opportunity to be involved in helping promote a race at the Lake of the Ozarks in partnership with our dealer Formula Boats of Missouri. Â
Formula has been building several styles of boats for over five decades.Â
Most of the boats that will be catching people’s eyes at the race will be the large catamarans that run well over 100 miles per hour.
This is a great opportunity to bring an exciting sport that you typically do find in the coastal areas inland to add some great excitement at the Lake of the Ozarks.
We also felt the race would be a great opportunity to promote boating at Lake of the Ozarks. We are excited to be partnering with our dealer Formula Boats of Missouri and with Pepsi.
Jill DeBok – Pepsi Beverages Company
Pepsi and Mountain Dew are proud to once again sponsor the Offshore Super Series at the Lake of the Ozarks.Â
We all know how important the Lake Race is to the Lake community… from the thousands of people that come to watch and participate, to the economic impact, and we are thrilled to be a part of an event that touches so many individuals and local businesses.
Honorary Chairperson, Lake Race 2013
World and National Champion and World Record Holder Dave Scott
Regardless of the venue I have raced at, both nationally and internationally, I have never seen so many powerboats in one place as at the Lake of the Ozarks. The local people and the natural beauty of the Lake makes the Lake Area an ideal location for powerboat racing, plus all of the great accommodations that are available for visitors.
Sponsors and event organizers urge boat enthusiasts, race lovers, and everyone else to make plans to join the stars and legends of offshore racing as they show the world, "How We Dew The Lake!"
