OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — Authorities say a boat slid off a trailer, into the middle of Highway 54, Saturday evening.

According to the Osage Beach Police Department, on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 10, the driver was pulling onto eastbound Highway 54 at the Key Largo Road intersection, on the western edge of Osage Beach. But the 25-foot boat on his trailer was not secured as well as he thought it was, and the vessel slid off the trailer and across the highway.

Thankfully, the boat did not collide with any vehicles, according to OBPD Chief Todd Davis. He said a tow truck arrived on the scene and helped remove the boat from the highway.
