CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — Cassie Franklin, charged with stealing around $125,000 from Camdenton R-III School District, will be arraigned on Thursday. But new Camden County Prosecutor Michael Gilley says he won’t be prosecuting this case.

Cassie Franklin is the ex-wife of Gilley’s first-cousin, Josh Franklin.

“When [the alleged stealing] happened, they were still married,” Gilley explained. “So it probably is best to simply get a special prosecutor in on that.”
