LINN CREEK, Mo. — Firefighters battled a mobile home blaze amid scorching summer temperatures on Thursday.

At 12:01 p.m. on July 27, all stations were dispatched for a residential structure fire in the 3000 block of State Highway A. The district says they were initially told a person was still inside the home.

The first fire unit to arrive on scene found a mobile home with significant fire in the center of the home. However, at that point, the district says all occupants had escaped the resistance.

Due to being in a non-hydrant area, a water shuttle tactic was utilized to move water to the scene. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes.

One patient was treated on scene for smoke inhalation but refused transport. No firefighters were injured during the incident.

"Firefighters not only battled the blaze but they also had the intense heat with temperatures reaching triple digits," the district said in a Facebook post about the fire. "Multiple companies were brought in to assist with the fire and ensure nobody developed a heat related medical issue."

Mutual aid was received by the Mid County Fire Protection District, Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District, Lake Ozark Fire Protection District, and Camden County Ambulance District (Mercy).
