CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A dance floor collapsed at Shady Gators over the weekend, sending revelers sprawling in all directions.

The band Queen Blvd was performing for the Gators crowd and—just moments after the lead singer said, “This is the fun part!”—the dance floor collapsed. Fans fell, as the floor dropped significantly, but the floor stayed intact enough for them to escape the area, as the band leader encouraged them to remain calm and exit the area. KMOV.com reports the band leader later said no one was hurt in the incident.

Restaurant ownership said repair work on the dance floor is already under way, but had no further comment at the present.

Lake Ozark Fire Chief Mark Amsinger said investigators from his district were looking into the incident and the results of that investigation would be released once it was complete.
