The Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association awarded multiple scholarships to students and adult learners at Lake Career and Technical Center earlier this month, recognizing their commitment to education and their future contributions to the local workforce.
The scholarships presented included the Jessica & Malaki Brazil Scholarship, Bob Morgan Scholarships, and Adult Marine Scholarships designed to support both students entering the workforce and individuals continuing their education in the marine industry.
This year’s scholarship recipients are:
• Owen White – Jessica & Malaki Brazil Scholarship
• Karlee Welsch and Bailey Tindall – Bob Morgan Scholarships
• Tanner Bali, Christopher Wiggs, and Trenton Perryman Adult – Marine Scholarships
The Bob Morgan and Jessica & Malaki Brazil scholarship recipients each receive an initial $1,500 award, with the opportunity to earn an additional $1,000 if they go to work for a LOMDA member and another $1,000 if they remain employed for one year.
These incentives are designed to encourage students to build their careers locally within the marine industry.
Adult Marine scholarship recipients receive $4,000 upfront to assist with tools, an additional $1,000 upon employment with a LOMDA member, and a $5,000 matching contribution from Snap-on, bringing the total potential award to $10,000.
This program is specifically designed to support skilled trades and strengthen the local workforce.
“These scholarships are an investment in the future of our community,” said Mark Maasen, LOMDA President. “They not only support our youth but also create real opportunities for individuals to stay, work, and grow right here at Lake of the Ozarks.”
LOMDA values its strong partnership with Lake Career and Technical Center and remains committed to developing a skilled workforce that supports the continued growth of the Lake area.
By providing both financial support and career incentives, LOMDA is helping to retain talent, strengthen local businesses, and ensure the long-term success of the marine industry at Lake of the Ozarks.
