CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A Montreal, Mo. woman was killed in a crash on Monday evening in Macks Creek, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The Patrol reported 48-year-old Cathy Byler was driving a 1998 Buick Lesabre east on Highway 54 when she lost control of the vehicle. The car went off the left side of the road and overturned. Byler was not wearing a seat belt, authorities say, and she was pronounced dead at the scene by the Camden County Medical Examiner at 6:30 p.m. A one-year-old boy in the vehicle was buckled, the Patrol reported, and sustained minor injuries. He was taken by EMS to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
