CAMDENTON, Mo. — The Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Funky Buffalo Brew House & Trading Company on Friday, March 31st to celebrate new owners Chris & Kendra Kortus. Many were in attendance for this event including Chamber Staff, Board Members, City officials, family members, and friends.

The Funky Buffalo Brew House & Trading Company is a full-service coffee shop that offers an assortment of hot and cold beverages, breakfast and lunch items, as well as an assortment of boutique items to browse. Coffee shop owner Kendra has owned her boutique for 7 years, which she previously ran from her home, and is pleased to now have her products on display at the shop. Her products include Judy Blue jeans (in all sizes), various collections of graphic tees, hats, any other fun accessories.

The building underwent a major update recently, gaining a patriotic theme of red, white, and blue. The patriotic theme doesn’t stop on the outside; customers will find Boss Mom Coffee, a private labeled coffee, as well as patriotic apparel that they have available to purchase in honor of Chris' younger brother Ryan Kortus who was a marine vet and suffered from PTSD. 100% of the net proceeds of both the private labeled coffee and awareness shirts, and hoodies are donated to veteran suicide prevention programs and other veteran organizations.

On Thursday afternoons, guests enjoy an assortment of bluegrass music performed by a group of local community members.
