LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Wonderland Camp is launching a major fundraising push to replace one of the most important parts of its campus: the longtime swimming pool that has served campers since the 1980s.

The nonprofit camp recently announced it has been granted $500,000 in Missouri Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits to help fund a proposed new, fully accessible Wonderland Water Park. The credits are considered rare because they provide donors with a 70% Missouri tax credit while supporting the project.

The new aquatic space would help modernize  the “heart of camp” while continuing to serve children and adults with disabilities in a safe, accessible environment.

The NAP credits can be purchased by qualifying businesses, organizations, and individuals with Missouri business income. Eligible groups include corporations, partnerships, LLCs, financial institutions, insurance companies, sole proprietors, farmers, rental property owners, S-Corp shareholders, and royalty income earners.

Wonderland Camp says the credits allow donors to give more while lowering their net cost through Missouri tax savings—a $2,500 gift would have a net cost of $750 after credits!

Availability is limited and interested donors should reserve credits soon.
