Bob White Night: Dwight Yoakam Concert to Benefit Lake Of The Ozarks Area Food Pantries

CAMDENTON, Mo. — Ozarks Amphitheater of Camdenton Missouri announced this week a special “Bob White Night” in conjunction with the Dwight Yoakam concert on May 28, to benefit local food pantries around Central Missouri.

Bob White was most recently the Executive Director of the Share The Harvest Food Pantry until his passing in February of this year. Bob spent much of his free time helping others. He was active in Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast, having served as President. He was involved in many youth organizations including, Boy Scouts, Pride of the Lake Band Boosters, Big Brothers Big Sisters, 2nd Chance Bikes, Hurricane Deck P.T.O. and Christmas for Kids.

The Amphitheater will be donating $5 from every ticket sold from April 18 to May 2. They will also be raffling off a guitar that was autographed by many of the 2016 season performers. There will also be an opportunity for concert-goers to donate money, or the Amphitheater is also accepting food donation the evening of the show.

Ozarks Amphitheater’s Director of Operations, Mary Kay von Brendel said, “It is just as important to us to provide a quality entertainment venue for the residents of our community, as it is to give back to the people of this community. The Food Pantries in our area are constantly in need of supplies, and this is just one small way that we can help.”

The Ozarks Amphitheater will have a local “tie-in” with handpicked local charitable causes at each of their shows this coming 2017 season, including Ted Nugent on July 29, Get The Led Out (The American Led Zeppelin) on August 26, and Aaron Tippin on September 23.

Mary Kay von Brendel went on to say, “People want to help, and this is just one way of allowing them to do so, with the sole purpose of strengthening their community.”

This is the 3rd year for concerts at the venue under its current ownership. If any charitable organization would like to be considered, please contact Mary Kay von Brendel by email at marykay@ozarksamphitheater.com or by phone at 504-351-4655.
