LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Super competitors will pass through the Lake area June 19-23 during one of the most grueling races ever created.
Bicyclists from around the world come to compete in Race Across America — a 3,000-mile, coast-to-coast race across the country from Oceanside, Calif., to Annapolis, Md.
Volunteers are needed to help at the Lake’s official Time Station, located at the Signal Gas Station on Highway 54 in Camdenton.
Ways to Get Involved:
• Track the cyclists and stop by the Time Station to welcome them
• Bring fruit/popsicles to the Time Station
• Post a welcome on outdoor signage
• Cheer them on when they pass through town
“Show your support by welcoming RAAM to Camdenton on your outdoor signage, stop by the time station, donating supplies to replenish racers and their crew or a simple thumbs up when you see them on the road,” said Trish Creach, director of the Camdenton Chamber of Commerce.”
