LAKE OZARK, Mo. – Just in time for July 4th weekend, the much-anticipated Malted Monkey ropes course is opening to the public.
The Malted Monkey is a one-of-a-kind ropes course playground being built next to Tuckers Shuckers on the Bagnell Dam Strip. It was supposed to open in late-April, but unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the company in Michigan that manufactured the course components was shut down this spring due to being deemed "non-essential." With the delay behind them, the ropes course of this family-oriented venue is now schedule to open this Friday, July 3, with the restaurant portion of the business opening on July 15.
The general price of admission for the ropes course will be $25 per person, with no time constraint: spend all day climbing and exploring if you wish! The ropes course is meant for kids and adults who are over 40 inches tall and weigh less than 300 pounds, and all participants will be required to wear provided harnesses.
The Malted Monkey will also include a shake shake/cafe that climbers can treat themselves to after they're worn out from a long day of monkeying around or for parents to indulge in while relaxing while their kids spend hours entertaining themselves in a healthy, safe, and active way.
