CAMDENTON, Mo. -- Mayor McNabb asked Camdenton’s Board of Alderman to consider and approve a new benefit for city employees: free admission to the new aquatic center for employees with proof of employment. The Board unanimously approved the benefit after inquiring about photo identification for the city’s employees.
When presenting his proposal, McNabb noted he had checked to be sure the loss of revenue would not significantly impact the Aquatic Center. The admission charge is $4 for anyone 13 and older. Furthermore, this benefit does not extend to an employee’s spouse or children. It is only available to the employee.
Regarding Aldermen questions about employee identification, City Clerk Renée Kingston reported only the most recent employees hired do not have photo IDs available for use. The city-owned ID-maker has broken, and Kingston is currently exploring ways to provide IDs without spending approximately $1,000 to replace the machine. Kingston assured the Board the City can and will provide necessary identification.
Alderman Steve Eden moved and Dan Hagedorn seconded a motion to grant free admission to the Aquatic Center for city employees.
