LAKE OZARK, Mo. — Work on Highway 54 will begin causing more significant traffic this week, with the closure of the eastbound bridge over Little Gravois Creek.

Starting March 29, the contractor on the project, Magruder Paving of Troy, will close the eastbound bridge, diverting eastbound traffic into the westbound lanes. The head-to-head traffic on the westbound bridge will continue through the length of the bridge deck replacement project, which is expected to be complete by Memorial Day weekend.

Currently, crews are paving the median crossovers in preparation for the lane switch. And, on Monday, March 28, Route 54 will be down to one lane of traffic in each direction for traffic control work.
