Lana Hughes, first grade teacher at Osage Beach Elementary, has been named Camdenton School District Teacher of the Week.
In making the announcement, the district said the following of Hughes:
Mrs. Hughes is always looking for new ways to reach the needs of each of her students. Her ability to identify the specific needs of each student leads to differentiated instruction throughout the class. Mrs. Hughes also has a special connection with the parents of her students. She is in constant contact and provides much positive feedback to help all parents, most importantly those of struggling students, understand every child has their strengths. The passion for always pushing her students to be leaders and improve academically along with showing parents how much she cares is why Mrs. Hughes is the teacher of the week for Osage Beach Elementary.
Teacher of the Week is sponsored by Smith Law Firm and recognizes teachers for positive contributions made to the Camdenton students and district.
