Fire At Compass Pointe Condos

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — When four children were killed in a tragic fire at Compass Pointe Condominiums, the community and public officials began looking for ways to keep this from happening again.

A special committee was formed, and it sought input from the public regarding changes to the fire code that would be reasonable and implementable, and would help save lives. Now with those recommendations sifted through and condensed, the Osage Beach Fire Protection District’s Board of Directors will host a Public Hearing on Monday June 6 at 6 p.m. to hear from the community about the recommended changes to the fire code. This public hearing will be held at the School of the Osage High School Auditorium on State Highway 42.
