Price & Randle Injury Attorneys in Osage Beach have announced "Drive Safe. Boat Safe." campaign; a multi-faceted 3-year roadway and water safety initiative in conjunction with Lake of the Ozarks local television station, Lake TV and in collaboration with the statewide "Buckle Up. Phones Down." initiative.
"At Price & Randle, we represent victims of car & boat crashes. We've seen an alarming increase in the number of accidents caused by distracted driving. When you're operating a boat or car, it is critical to put your phone down and pay attention. Lives are at stake. We're proud to partner with Lake TV to increase safety awareness and take the 'Buckle Up. Phones Down.' pledge," said Dr. Matt Price.
The campaign will focus on educating and highlighting the dangers of distracted & impaired driving. Over the last six years, crash fatalities due to distracted driving have skyrocketed over 30%. While last year alone, 500 deaths in Missouri were caused by impaired driving or the failure to wear a seat belt.
Matt Price and Duane Randle, as Lake of the Ozarks injury attorneys, see the costs of impaired and distracted driving daily. "The statistics are alarming, and the results are chilling. Distracted and impaired driving cause preventable injuries and deaths. Cell phone use while driving is a big issue. Teen drivers are the most likely to be texting or using social media while driving, but the temptation is there for anyone with a cell phone. Our 'Drive Safe. Boat Safe.' campaign is designed to raise safety awareness. Both Duane and I, and our families, live at the Lake of the Ozarks. We want to see safer roads and waters and help reduce accident injuries and fatalities that are preventable. We encourage you to buckle up, put your phones down, and designate a sober driver," said Dr. Price.
From high-school sports, local lake area dive bar tours, holiday-themed reminders, to engaging conversations, education, and safety tips, the "Drive Safe. Boat Safe." campaign will offer something for everyone and target those most at risk for these dangers. Lake TV's wide variety of Lake Area content and platforms will put the "Drive Safe. Boat Safe." campaign out to a wide audience.
"These are real issues we are facing, and I'm excited to act. We are thankful for the trust and partnership from Matt Price & Duane Randle and look forward to seeing safer roads and waterways become a reality at the Lake of the Ozarks with our new 'Drive Safe. Boat Safe.' campaign," said Lake TV Owner William Holtz.
The "Buckle Up. Phones Down." campaign started in Missouri and has now been adopted by 27 states throughout the country. The Price & Randle Injury Attorneys "Boat Safe. Drive Safe." campaign in collaboration with Lake TV is set to launch on August 1, 2024. It is part of a three-year initiative with Price & Randle Injury Attorneys and Lake TV.
