Joshua Adam Schubert Obituary

Joshua Adam Schubert, age 46, of Meta, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at his home. He was born in Jefferson City on October 14, 1980, son of the late Ronald Morgan and Dianna (Scheulen) Schubert.

He was a graduate of St. Elizabeth R-IV. Joshua found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing, hunting, and playing golf. These favorite pastimes gave him opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, make lasting memories, and share many meaningful moments with those closest to him.

Above all, Joshua treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. Their love, laughter, and companionship meant the world to him, and the memories they created together will remain a lasting source of comfort to all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by two brothers, Gabriel (April) Schubert and Jeremiah (Nicole) Schubert; six nieces and nephews, Ashlee (Rob)Steffensen, Kaytlin Schubert, Jeremiah Schubert II, Kayla (Dalton) Fritz, Skye Schubert, and Kaleb Schubert; three great-nieces and one great-nephew; aunts and uncles, Richard Scheulen, Melvin (Bev) Scheulen, Linda (David) Pace, and Neal Schubert; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Friday, October 23, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Meta with Pastor Ryan Groh officiating. Interment will be held at St. John’s Cemetery in Babbtown.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Joshua Schubert Memorial Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Meta.
