JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — A recent vice-chair appointment will giveState Representative Rocky Miller a stronger voice in advocating for how—and where—the government spends taxpayer dollars.

Miller, the representative for District 124 (Miller and Camden Counties), was named Vice Chairman of Appropriations – Department of Economic Development, Tourism, Revenue and Transportation, by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tim Jones.

“I am happy to accept this new responsibility, and will bring my previous experience and knowledge as board chair in various other capacities to this new position,” Miller said.

Miller’s office pointed out that “the appointment gives [him] more say in how money is spent in these areas of government which are most vital to the district in which he serves.”
