MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — A Preston, Mo. man has been charged in the aftermath of the shooting that killed one man and injured four others, Thursday, July 15 on the Lake Ozark Strip.

Tonka Way-Con Ponder is charged with 1st Degree Assault/Attempted Assault (Class B Felony) and Felony Armed Criminal Action. According to the probable cause document for Ponder's arrest, surveillance video shows Ponder was in a fight with one man, when another drew a gun on him. Ponder in turn drew his own gun, the document states, firing at that man and killing him. Gunfire was exchanged between the biker groups involved in the brawl, the document states, and Ponder was hit by a bullet. Then he reportedly reloaded while laying on the front deck of the bar, and fired at a man who was walking by with his hands in the air, hitting the man and wounding him.
