Three hot days, lots of miles, and plenty of fun — Bikefest raised over $7,000 for the Idiots Club last month!
The Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest, held Sept. 15-20, decided to be hotter than hot, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time. The Jesters of Goodwill were spreading the word about the Lake of the Ozarks Idiots Club and all we do to help children and youth living in poverty in the area. We also got to share our mission with people from all over the country.
A huge thank you goes to JG at Shady Gators, Jeri at the Leprechaun, and Tammy Cannon at Schmidt & Associates Marketing for making it all happen. They handled the organizing, paid for the advertising and printing, and supplied 300 Shady Gators Poker Run shirts for us to sell. We also sold plenty of Idiots Club shirts and koozies.
On Tuesday and Wednesday of that week, the Jesters of Goodwill worked the two Poker Runs, which made stops at a variety of local establishments along the way. Then on Thursday, we were back at it helping with the Charity Ride.
Total raised during Bikefest: $7,225, all to help local children and youth in need.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, bought a shirt or koozie, donated, or simply took a few minutes to learn more about the Idiots Club.
