Christine Elizabeth Williams, 81 of Eldon, MO passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Eldon Nursing and Rehab in Eldon, MO.

Christine was born on February 17, 1945 in Elgin, IL the daughter of Alwyn and Bettie (Orwen) Merciel who preceded her in death. She was a 1963 graduate of Riverview High School in St Louis, MO. After high school, she was united in marriage to Roy Williams on February 1, 1964 who preceded her in death on August 1, 2021.

Christine dedicated most of her working years to Mrazek Moving Company in St. Louis, MO, where she worked as a packer. She took pride in her work and in being someone who could always be counted on. Eventually, due to disability, she was forced to retire, but retirement did not slow her down or take away her love for life.

She was a woman who loved being on the go. She enjoyed going for walks, going out to lunch, and especially spending time searching for treasures at garage sales. She found joy in the simple things and never needed much to make a day special.

Her faith was an important part of her life. She was a devoted Protestant who loved listening to gospel music and reading her Bible. Her faith provided her with comfort, strength, and guidance throughout her life.

Above all, she loved her family and children. She had a special place in her heart for all kids, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her a particularly deep and cherished joy. She loved spending time with them, watching them grow, and making memories that will remain with her family for generations to come.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, especially the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were so precious to her.

Survivors include: one daughter, Melinda Fawcett (Daniel Lindquist); one son, Mike Williams (Rhonda); one sister, Karen Green; three grandchildren, Joseph, Brett and Madison; two great grandchildren, Gabriella and Aerianna; two great great grandchildren, Ayden and Amirah and several nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded death by one granddaughter, Meaghan Sander; one sister, Judy Fox and three brothers Lance Merciel, Dwight Merciel and Kennon Merciel.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
