New Outlet Mall Development Map Reveals Plans For Hotels, Entertainment, And Bass Pro

A map showing the planned layout for the redevelopment of the Osage Beach Outlet Mall has been obtained by LakeExpo, and it reveals more details about the developers' plans for the site.

It should be noted that this layout is likely tentative, as it appears to be modified from an earlier map that had been on display at a recent public event. The developers have been tight-lipped about the project layout and planned retailers, but they are expected to reveal more at the April 1 TIF Commission public meeting.

"The city would love to see this project come to fruition," Osage Beach Mayor Michael Harmison told LakeExpo. "We have the very first stages of the TIF application, but the city will do their due-diligence... we would certainly love to get public input before any decision is made."

One of the developers, Chris Foster, has told LakeExpo he's "excited" about the development, but is still keeping quiet about project details until the TIF hearing gets closer.

Osage Beach Outlet Mall - Layout Map

Here are our takeaways...

• The Bass Pro Shops store will indeed be located at the back of the development, with trees along the ridgeline to be removed for visibility from Highway 54 (labeled "Retail I" on the map)

• The layout shows an entertainment district towards the front of the development, with two hotels, a parking garage, and two large entertainment/retail spaces

• The streets within the complex have a "boulevard" style setup, with green, tree-lined medians and two roundabouts

• Rather than long lines of retail spaces like the outlet mall currently has, the retail spaces on the map are arranged into smaller clusters

• Some of the retail areas in the center of the development — marked "Bldg" — represent the preservation and/or renovation of existing mall structures

The public hearing for the TIF application is set for Wednesday, April 1, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
