Five-Level Entertainment Complex Near Bagnell Dam Set To Open In 2026

Tucker's Development Next To Bagnell Dam: Rendering

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — A massive entertainment complex right next to Bagnell Dam continues to take shape, but the developer, well-known restauranteur George Tucker, says it won’t open until 2026.

However, from the details Tucker provided, it’ll be worth the wait.

Tucker, known for elevating the Bagnell Dam Strip experience with hot spots like Malted Monkey, Neon Taco, and Tucker’s Shuckers Oyster & Tap, has sparked more excitement at the Lake with this latest and greatest venture.

The new multi-level entertainment project is set to feature a huge pool, bars, and family-friendly entertainment right on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip. And while construction began in late-2023 with plans to be open by summer of 2025, visitors and residents will have to wait a little longer before getting to enjoy this new addition to Lake of the Ozark businesses.

Once all five floors are up and running, the entertainment complex will hold around 2,000 people, Tucker said. But that may not be until May of 2026.

He explained construction and meticulous planning of this large undertaking have pushed back the open date a full year.

“We haven’t shared a lot yet with the public because we are still working out some details. We have to be strategic and put a lot of thought into the size of this place and how it will fit into a small footprint,” Tucker said.

The good news is that progress is still happening at the site. Footings have been poured and steel framing members have been set. Tucker hinted at the possibility of the 3rd and 4th floors opening as early as December 2025.

When asked how he came up with this yet-to-be-named multi-level project, Tucker described it as an idea morphed from expanding his adjacent property. “The concept started out as just adding a pool to Neon Taco. We owned the property next door so the idea just grew from there,” he explained.

That simple pool idea soon developed into two pools and three bars located on the lower two levels of the complex. With lakeside accessibility to the docks, these lower levels will also serve a full menu of fresh meal options. Tucker even hinted at a Mediterranean Greek restaurant inside. “There’s nothing really like it. It won’t be just another bar in town. The food will be all made from scratch instead of the usual frozen bar food,” Tucker emphasized.

The major buzz around this project concerns the 3rd and 4th floors because, unlike many tourist-driven businesses at the Lake, those will stay open year round. Open to all ages until 9 p.m. when they switch to adults-only, these two middle levels will have something for everyone. Shuffleboard, duckpin bowling, and other nostalgic games as well as good food promise to make these floors the perfect spot to bring the family or meet up with friends on a cold Friday night. The 3rd floor is also at street level, making it easily accessible throughout the year.

While Tucker and his team are still refining some of the project details, his high standards of delicious food and hip vibes will certainly show through on each of these five unique floors of this much-anticipated entertainment complex coming to the Bagnell Dam Strip.
