OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — The Osage Beach outlet mall is one step closer to a new future, with a critical vote by the Osage Beach Board of Aldermen last week.

On Thursday, July 17, aldermen unanimously passed the first reading of a funding agreement that would allow the city and developers to work together to bring the developers' vision to fruition. That vision, however, has still not been made public.

“We’ve been meeting with the developers over the last several months,” City Attorney Cole Bradbury reported to the City Board of Aldermen. “We’ve seen some great plans, some very exciting plans,” he added.

The mall was bought in November 2024 by Sky Real Estate.

The city will be working with outside consultants to look more closely at the developers’ plans. He said they expect to have an application for a TIF funding agreement from the developers within 60 days or less.

The board’s vote on Thursday authorized the City to accept a deposit from the developers to pay the outside consultants. “So that the taxpayers are not paying for private development,” Bradbury clarified.

Alderman Hoffman added, “This should tell the public that confidentially there’s been a lot of work going on by the developer, by the staff, by our elected officials. I would say that it’s been very positive, and this is probably your first glimpse of knowing that the project is moving forward… I feel very optimistic about the direction it’s going.”

The City Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to enter into a funding agreement with developers of the Outlet Mall.
