Michael Alad Bolster, age 76, of Laurie, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his home. He was born November 1, 1942 in Denver, Colorado, a son of Robert and Maurine (Warren) Bolster.
On September 1, 1967 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he was united in marriage to Marleen Dee Cameron. Together they shared fifty years of marriage until her passing on March 17, 2018.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Chad A. Bolster and Bruce A. Bolster.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Burnett and husband Bruce of Laurie, Missouri; three grandchildren, Laura Simpson and husband Trevor of Edwards, Missouri, Hope Dahlhoff of Warrensburg, Missouri and John Hollandsworth of Blue Springs, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Katie Ethington, Troy Ethington and Chase Simpson and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Los Angeles, California area. He met in married Marleen in Colorado. Michael received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Colorado. In 1981, they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where he owned and operated Michael Bolster, CPA in Laurie, Missouri until his retirement. He was very active in the Rotary and Optimist Clubs in Laurie.
He was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed fishing and going to the casinos. He was a fan of the Denver Broncos. Most of all, time spent with his family was special to him.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
