Bodi Ochs Obituary

Bodi “Bobo” Lee Ochs, 2, of Bellevue, NE passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Children Nebraska Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Bodi was born on October 1, 2023 in New Orleans, LA the son of Jason and Alyssa Ochs. He may have only been with us on Earth a short time, but his life was filled with love, laughter, comfort, and so many precious little moments that will never be forgotten.

One of his greatest loves was Mickey Mouse. Mickey brought him happiness and comfort, and his face would light up when he watched his favorite character. He also loved Grover from Sesame Street, who became another familiar and beloved friend.

His big brother, River, held a very special place in his heart. He loved watching River and, in true little-brother fashion, loved getting into River’s things—especially his toy cars. Those little moments of following along, watching, and taking his brother’s toys are memories that will forever bring smiles through the tears.

He loved being outside. He enjoyed going for walks, feeling the fresh air, and especially swinging on the swing. There was something peaceful and joyful about being outside, surrounded by the people who loved him.

More than anything, Bobo loved to cuddle. He did not like being put down and wanted to be held close. Being in someone's arms was where he felt safe, warm, and loved. Those cuddles were more than just moments of comfort—they were precious reminders of the special bond he shared with his family.

Bodi also had a love for ESPN and football highlights. Watching football became an unexpected source of motivation and comfort, especially during physical therapy. The football highlights helped him get through those difficult therapy sessions, giving him something to focus on and enjoy while he worked so hard.

And then there was his owl toy, which he loved to play with and watch as it lit up. Its lights brought him fascination and joy, and watching it glow was one of those simple pleasures that could capture his attention and make a difficult day a little brighter.

His life may have been filled with challenges that no child should have had to face, but he showed the world that even the smallest moments can hold so much meaning. A favorite character on television. A football highlight. A glowing owl. A swing outside. A stolen toy car. A walk. A cuddle.

These are the memories his family will carry forward.

He was deeply loved. He was cherished. He brought light into the lives of everyone who knew him, and although his time here was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain forever.

He will always be his family’s precious little boy, forever held in their hearts.

Survivors include: his loving parents, Jason and Alyssa Ochs; his brother, River Ochs; paternal grandparents, Tim and Heather Ochs; maternal grandparents, Jessica Janis and Nathan Green; great-granparents, Polly Scott “Granny Poopsie” and Steve and Stacey Ochs and uncle, Brandon Ochs (Leanne). He was received into heaven by other family and friends that have passed before him.
