CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — The Castle in the Clouds—a four-story mansion that burned to the ground on Feb. 9—was so thoroughly destroyed that investigators say they can’t figure out how the fire started.
According to Mid-County Fire Protection District Chief Scott Frandsen, the State Fire Marshal has listed the cause of the fire as undetermined.
The owner of the mansion says the losses of structure and contents amount to 10 million dollars.
