There's a peacock on the loose in Osage Beach, and he's been spotted strutting through local neighborhoods over the past several days.

The male peacock, named Akbar, escaped from his home off Key Largo Road, and has been wandering around nearby neighborhoods. Someone spotted Akbar in a Y Road neighborhood, on Friday, April 26. Then he was seen closer to home, on Boulder Drive, down Runabout Road, on Monday morning. Could he be sashaying home? Or just adding his colors to the flowery spring waterfront?

Akbar's owner says the peacock likes bananas, and is nearly impossible to wrangle. He hopes Akbar makes his way home soon.
