LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. – A boat caught fire and was completely destroyed Friday at a residential dock in Millionaire Cove.

Lake Ozark Firefighters attacked the blaze by land and water at the 6-mile marker as black smoke billowed atop the tree line at about 4 p.m., Aug. 23.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the owner of the boat started a generator on board, and it sparked the fire.

The 35-foot Regal was a complete loss and the dock sustained some damage from the fire.
