LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — A few local fishermen recently pulled in a major catch on the Gravois arm of the Lake.
Warsaw-area resident Mark Bales said he and a couple of friends were using a modified form of “jug fishing” when they landed a 47-pound catfish, a 25-pound catfish, and several smaller fish. Bales said they used swim noodles with PVC pipe down the middle. They attached fishing line a hook, bait and a sinker.

“You just drop them in the water and when the noodle stands up, you know you have a bite,” Bales said, adding, “It’s not rocket science.”
Bales said his catch produced quite a fish fry.
