CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A Sunrise Beach man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of first-degree statutory rape.

Eric Tennison, 51, entered guilty pleas after DNA evidence collected during the investigation was presented by the Camden County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, according to a press release. Under Missouri law, he must serve 85% of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

Camden County Prosecuting Attorney Richelle Grosvenor said the plea spared the victim from having to testify at trial.

"I particularly want to thank Kids Harbor for the caring work they did with the victims and their family in this case," Grosvenor said in the release.

The prosecutor's office says that since January 2023, it has secured prison sentences totaling 475 years in 56 cases involving child victims. Public statistics on prosecutions are available through the Camden County Prosecuting Attorney's Office website. The website lists Felony convictions each month, with name, photo, and description of crime. Click here to view the site.
