OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — Authorities say they haven’t found the man who fled from arrest on Osage Beach Parkway near the Grand Glaize Bridge on Thursday, but they arrested his companion.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Scott White, a trooper pulled over a vehicle on Osage Beach Parkway near Malibu Road on Thursday afternoon. One occupant of the vehicle fled on foot toward the Lake, but the Patrol says a second occupant—Chase Raithel, of Washington, Mo.—was arrested. Raithel faces potential charges of:

-Failure to Display Valid Plates

-No Seat Belt

-Possessing Stolen Property

-Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine)

-Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoid

-Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Authorities say a stolen gun was found in the vehicle.

White says the investigation continues, and the Patrol does have an idea of the identity of the man who fled, but will not release that information at this time.
