The Osage Nation reaffirmed its plans to become part of the Lake of the Ozarks community and business landscape with a recent announcement about its plans for a Cultural Center to be built in Lake Ozark.

The Osage Nation Cultural Center will be built on the site the tribe purchased for a hotel/casino, at the corner of Bagnell Dam Blvd. and Osage Beach Pkwy. The Osage still plan to build a hotel and casino on the site, though they revealed last year that the casino may operate in a temporary facility until they receive clearance for full-scale (Class III) gaming.

The Cultural Center is slated to open either this spring or summer.

The Osage Nation posted the following on its Facebook page for to the Lake of the Ozarks casino/hotel:

We’re excited about the momentum building in Lake Ozark and the progress underway toward the Osage Nation Cultural Center, slated for a Spring/Summer 2026 opening.

This space will be a place to share Osage history, culture, and living tradition with the Lake community and visitors from across Missouri and beyond. Each step forward brings us closer to opening doors that invite learning, connection, and celebration.

Be on the lookout for construction photos as the building takes shape, along with announcements in the months ahead about opening details and opportunities to gather. We look forward to sharing this journey with you.
