JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Central Bancompany, which operates Central Bank, the most dominant banking presence at Lake of the Ozarks, could soon be traded on the Nasdaq.
The announcement came on Friday, Oct. 10. Once on the exchange, Central Bancompany would trade under the ticker symbol "CBC."
Central Bancompany was founded in 1902 and is based in Jefferson City, with 158 locations in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Florida. This would be the company's first appearance on the Nasdaq.
As of June 30, 2025, Central Bancompany was reporting $19.1 billion in total assets, $11.2 billion in loans (net of allowance for credit losses), $14.8 billion in deposits, and $3.2 billion in total shareholders' equity.
The company reported $925 million in revenue over the last 12 months and said it had seen a 6% rise in revenue during the first half of this year. It also manages $14.2 billion in wealth assets through its Central Trust and Central Investment Advisors.
The company's Initial Public Offering (IPO) documentation for its Class A common stock does not specify how many shares would be issued, nor the price range, however Central’s board approved a 50-for-1 stock split (as a stock dividend).
Shareholders of record as of Oct. 20, 2025 will receive 49 new shares for each share owned, with distribution on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025.
