CAMDENTON, Mo. – It’s time to put your gently worn shoes to good use. Medical Missions for Christ Clinic is partnering with Funds2Orgs to collect shoes for those in need.

The Camdenton Senior Center is hosting the kick-off event on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon.

MM4C is seeking gently used or new shoes for all ages, from toddlers to adults. The collected footwear will be distributed by Funds2Orgs to communities in need around the globe.

“First and foremost, we take care of all of our patients at our clinic. And we also give back to other communities since so many communities help to support our mission,” said Krista Carter, Executive Director of MM4C.

A resource for the Lake of the Ozarks region, MM4C is a non-profit clinic offering free or reduced-cost medical services to residents of Camden, Miller, Morgan, and Laclede counties.

Staffed by professional medical volunteers, the clinic provides primary medical care, dental services, chiropractic care, eye exams, mammograms, and medical referrals. It also distributes medical supplies like walkers, canes, and wheelchairs to those who can’t afford them.

“We are excited to meet the needs of others in the community and spread the Love of the Lord!” said Tammie Hill, MM4C Board Member. “We are also collecting shoes in other locations over the next few months.”

The next collection event is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, at Lake of the Ozarks Harley Davidson in Osage Beach from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Food will be provided.
