Brock Heerdt, General Manager and lead facility instructor of LOZ Sports Training and his fellow owners have moved the Lake's only sports training center — founded in 2021 — to a much larger facility.
The owners say past LOZ Sports Training customers can expect an even better experience than before, and they're hopeful that athletes of all ages and skill levels will come to the Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting celebration on Jan. 10 to learn more about it.Â
Brock Heerdt has over 10 years of coaching experience and over 20 years playing baseball at an elite level. Brock isn't the only owner to have experience in sports, most have experience playing recreational/competitively as well as on a collegiate level. The owners want to emphasize to families that LOZ Sports Training is not meant to be exclusively for kids who want to compete at the highest level. Whether it's an athlete playing rec-ball who just wants to get a little better at hitting, or a kid who's aiming to play AAA ball in college, the facility welcomes them all.
While LOZ Sports Training does have its own baseball club — Ethos — there is no requirement for anyone who wants to come get lessons to be part of it.
For the team behind LOZ Sports Training, it's really just about the love of sports and wanting to help young athletes excel and meet their goals. They're also excited about soon bringing-on trainers for sports in addition to baseball, with announcements about that coming in 2025.
Past LOZ Sports Training customers who had an account credit for prepaid lessons or cage rentals will still be able to use those credits: for questions, contact Brock Heerdt.
The new LOZ Sports Training facility is available for reservation for team practices, open gyms, event rentals, parties and camps for all turf sports.
