OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — Jones Chop House has officially closed its doors. The announcement was made on Tuesday by owner Michael Jones, who expressed deep gratitude to both the staff and patrons who contributed to the restaurant's success over the years.
In a Facebook post June 11, Jones highlighted the dedication and hard work of his team, both past and present.
"Restaurant work is not easy; it requires commitment, thick skin, and a really good sense of humor. Your efforts have never gone unnoticed," Jones said.Â
He also extended his gratitude to the patrons who have supported Jones Chop House on Hwy KK, whether they were long-time diners or recent visitors.
"You are the direct reason for our success, and we are truly humbled and honored to have served you," Jones stated. He fondly recalled the many special occasions celebrated at the restaurant, from birthdays and graduations to first dates and weddings. "Thank you, everyone, for an incredible journey."
The closure marks the end of a beloved Lake of the Ozarks restaurant, but the community was encouraged to visit Smokin' Jones BBQ on Osage Beach Parkway, where much of the same staff will continue to provide excellent service.
Additionally, Jones assured customers that Jones Chop House gift cards would be honored at Smokin' Jones BBQ, though it will take a few weeks to implement the system.
"This was a difficult, emotional, and bittersweet decision, but it is time to move on to the next life adventure," Jones concluded.
Jones Chop House opened in June of 2022. The American-style restaurant was known for its high-quality steaks and seafood, served in a unique setting that featured creative cocktails and a cigar bar.
