CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — Erin Kaminski, librarian at Osage Beach Elementary (OBE), has been named Camdenton School District Teacher of the Week.Â
In making the announcement, the district said, "Erin meets every challenge with a smile and can-do attitude. She directly helps every child in the Osage Beach Elementary building by providing engaging, hands-on lessons for them. Additionally, she models her love for reading with our students and provides them with the encouragement and skills so they also love reading. Her room is open with Maker Space activities before school and even some days after school.
"Due to her efforts, OBE had a garden this summer that she, cultivated, planted, and nurtured so that many of the OBE faculty and staff could benefit from the cucumbers and tomatoes. Then there is the indirect impact she has on our students. Erin provides technical support for all faculty and staff and does so in a manner that doesn’t make them feel inferior. If you have a question, are technically challenged, or need suggestions for books to supplement a lesson, she is quick to provide solutions and support."
