LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — It’s a common story on the Lake. A personal watercraft hits a wake and the rider falls back on the vessel sustaining injuries. This is what happened to an Illinois man on Saturday.

Thomas K. Begeske, 52, of Lockport, Ill., was jumping wakes at the 3MM of the Grand Glaize Arm when he hit one that sent him into the air and back down hard onto a 1993 Kawasaki PWC.

The Highway Patrol classified his injuries as moderate without reporting any details. Begeske was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Mo.

In another incident on the water, a Kansas man suffered minor injury on Friday in a tubing accident. According to the Highway Patrol report, James Densmore, 33, of Mission Hills, Kan., was tubing behind a 2009 Sea Ray boat when he was ejected striking his face on the water.

Densmore was taken to Lake Regional Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.
