Boat Gas: Formula Marina sets bar at $3.639

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. – The price of boat gas has dropped again for the fourth consecutive week, but one marina stands alone – Formula Boats of Missouri. This weekend 87 Octane is selling for $3.639 and premium at $4.199 at the Formula Marina.

Most marinas around the lake will be pumping at $3.89-$3.99 per gallon. Cash and quantity discounts are also providing up to 20 cents off depending on the marina.

Gas docks around the lake reported much-improved sales over the Memorial Day weekend, some up more than 25% beyond the same holiday last year. One marina owner described Friday as comparable to a sunny Saturday and Saturday like the Fourth of July.

The weather this week cooled off the boating action, but the forecast for this Saturday is 81F and partly sunny.
