Lake of the Ozarks keeps producing top-tier water sports talent, as a local 14-year-old wakesurfer recently took gold at national championships and is eyeing a pro career.
Victoria Moroski, a freshman from Gravois Mills, has been wakesurfing for three years but only started competing in the last year—and she’s already making waves. She's not just riding them, she's conquering them.
Victoria, who serves as an ambassador for MarineMax Lake Ozark, recently claimed first place at the prestigious Nautique Nationals held at Lake Tye in Monroe, Wash.
She also took the top spot at the Masters Championship at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga., where she competed against athletes from around the world.
Her impressive achievements don’t stop there. Victoria also placed first at the WWA Nationals in Seattle, and is currently ranked number one in her division at the Wake United series.
With another competition coming up next weekend to close out the season, she’s determined to maintain her top ranking.
