LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Boaters — or non-boaters! — looking for a fun way to enjoy the day: there's still time to register for the Lake Race Land Or Lake Poker Run, set for Saturday, May 22.
The event works like other poker runs: participants travel to various stops across Lake Ozark and Osage Beach, getting a playing card at each stop. The best poker hand, turned in at the event's end, wins! However, unlike other Lake of the Ozarks poker runs, this one's built for boaters and non-boaters. Participants can go by boat, or by land, to the various Poker Run locations.
The cost is $100 per boat and captain, with $50 additional for participants who want to eat breakfast before the run and get a Lake Race Poker Run shirt.
